Me, Myself & Opera

Went to see Ang singing last Friday at Bugis. There was some kind of TW food festival there and Ang was supposed to sing some GZX. May and I reached there early and she said that she wants to look around the food stalls to see if there is anything nice. And so, we walked around. They were selling stuff like rice dumplings, tako pachi, fried chicken and sotong, ding ding sweets, oyster mee sua smelly tofu etc. Me: Mad lor, all these stuff are more like Singapore food than TW food lor. May: This is a Pasa Malam food fes, not TW food fes. Me: Look, they are selling Xing zhou beehoon and Hongkong noodles too.. Hahaha.. damn funny lor. We find it all very boliao so we ended up eating Mcdonald's, the American food. Talking about TW food, I don't really have any deep impression of eating anything super delicious in TW leh. I ate the extra big chicken, the oyster mee sua, the extra big sotong legs, the hao jian.... and I find them so so. The hao jian sucks though and the extra big sot...

There were alot of nice CCTV 11 advertisements. I remember seeing them when I was in Beijing some years ago and I liked the way they merge chinese painting with chinese opera. I especially like the one with Madam White Snake. It's so romantic. The feel was very good. Here is one with the major role types, Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou. Here is one I quite like too. It counted the famous excerpts from 1 to 10. A last one... And this video is a documentry of Kunqu. The opening of this documentry reminds me of the stage models which AC made.. hee hee Notice the dan at the beginning of the show is so god damn pretty! My god.. how can such pretty dan exist? And those eyes, mesmerising... I like her.. and I like the way she moves too~!

I saw on Youtube a slip from the drama series 'The Second Best' , 天下第二. It was acted by Li yu gang and I find the clip quite nice. So I am now sharing with you guys. So nice of me right? Hahaha....

I haven't got time to blog lately so I am just gonna post this short post first. I found a clip in youtube posted by Rojak City and it includes an interview with uncle Lim and Biyu. The clip is short, just 1+min but I think it's quite nice. :)

Soul Journey, a performance which SL spent a lot of time preparing and really look upon this performance with utmost importance. So after months of preparation and rehearsals we finally performed it for 3 times at Esplanade Theatre Studio. This photo was taken on the rehearsal day ,05.07.08. This was the make up are and the make up artistes were busy making up the 20 odds people. I wanna know how my hair looks like so I took a photo of the back of my head! The stylist told me that the bun was very heavy and thick and she was afraid it might fall off during the rehearsal but fortunately, it did not. From left, Ling ling, Huang Hui and Ya Yi. I don't why Huang hui got that disgusting look on his face lor. Done with the make up and hair do. I like the make up, I thought it was rather well-done. This is a nice place to take photos. Like I said, I never act on that day so I was free to walk around and take photos. Unfortunately, I was in a bad mood so I did not really take a lot of photos. I am always in a bad mood recently. We are into the final final rehearsal for Qi Cheng. The performance will be on this coming Sunday. I have got 2 complimentary tickets which I will give Kanglong one. The other one, I am still pending, KL wanted someone to watch with him but I don't know anyone else I can ask who do not fall asleep in such performances. For those who coming to watch it, please don't be late ok. Cuz I like the first piece and those who are late will miss the special opening. Our performance costume. This time our theme is ZEN~ So our costumes are also very zen. The bottome is of brownish colour because our other theme is to be close to nature. Our stage also very close to nature.... You will know if you come see. Zen +Nature. (I know my photo very ugly cuz I never put make up. Sucks lor but no choice.
