Me, Myself & Opera

One of the prettiest things in opera are the glittering hair pieces. I just simply love them so much! They are so delicate, sweet and shiny. In fact, I enjoy collecting hair pieces than collecting costumes. Some people have other fetishes like collecteing opera shoes or .. I don't know.. costumes. I prefer collecting hair pieces but I cannot collect too much because I have no more space to keep them. The return of QY from Taiwan brought me my latest collection. The cute purple flower hair pieces which I ordered some time ago. Awwww... so pretty... Can't wait to use it! Hair pieces are the beautiful-est thing in the world of opera!

Yo yo yo.. I am back from Hongkong liao. Haaha... And will be back to COI for practice this Sunday. From what I heard from my mum. Nothing much happened. All is peaceful. Bala is still missing.. -_-" On 31 Dec, New year Eve, we are organizing a countdown at my home! It will be a drinking session for all the COI students. In case you don't know, many of our students are good drinkers! And of course the best of all in Ang. She is really a 'thousand cup also cannot drunk' type! Looking forward to see my dearest troupe mates again! Hee hee.... Oh yah., I appeared on Channel 8 yesterday! It was awkward to see my face on TV and I wasn't even aware that mediacorp was at the performance. I blogged more about it in Mikolah --------> Please see there~

I didn't expect this. I really really didn't expect Jiangsu kunqu troupe will come Singapore to stage this show!!! I have heard a lot about it, saved a lot of photos and viewed many videos online. I tried to find the DVD but I cannot find. Imagine my esctasy when I found out that they are going to perform at Esplanade!!!! The kiasu me wanted to secure my favourite seats so I went to Esplanade yesteday afternoon to personaly buy the tickets. YESH! I bought 3 tickets for 27 Feb but now... I am tempted to see both nights!!! Surprisingly, YH wants to see this show too. She seldom interested to go to such shows with me.. Everytime is me company her go Gu Cai Ba only lor. But I am glad she can go with me to see this! Chop chop chop! My god.. I must control, cannot be so crazy like this. Must save money... but but.. it's a rare chance!!!! Oh my god!! I wasn't motivated to blog about this at all but I have to. I have to because I need to record all my performances in my blog for future reference. This blogging of performances has proved useful as I sometimes have problem remembering when the performances were made. Everyone was looking good before we left the comfortable make up room to the backstage. Th backstage has no air-con. Only 2 fans spinning... Strangely, I forgot to take picture of myself but that's ok I think cuz I already blogged lots of my pictures before. LOL. Did you see silly Bala waving at the end of the clip? Hahaha... I took this while everyone was still preparing. Note that Ang has got a newly combed wig! This is the first time ever since I knew her that she combed her wig. This style is different from her previous style but I think this one looks good too. May thinks this style is not suitable for her but I think otherwise.
