Me, Myself & Opera

Despite having a bad first night at KK, we still 兴高采烈 prepared for our performance on the first night. The place was very hot. Really very hot that I think I could have melted into a puddle of water. The first day afternoon, we rehearsed that night's show at the side of the stage. We only did rehearsal for the first night but subsequent nights there weren't any reherasals. Which was a big mistake. Haiz, anyway I dun wanna talk too much about mistakes but one of the major one was forgetting lines. I dunno why quite a few people were forgetting their lines. Is it because of the stress and the hectic schedule? Because everything was fine during rehearsals. Thankfully, I didn't forget my lines. All thanks to my constant training to remember lines in short notices. I am not sure about other people but such pressure can increase your brain power and helps you remember linese faster. Maybe those people who got poor memory can try? Overall, the first night had lesser problems. Mayb...

I love Kunqu so much that it gives me goosebumps when I watch it. I will be so totally 陶醉 into the show and the skilful actress or actor will totally pull me into the show. I become oblivious of my surroundings. LOL... I am so crazy... I really think kunqu actors are very li hai.. given that they have a very very hard tune to sing. Kunqu is definitely one of the harder-to-sing genre. So slow... As we all know, the slower the pace of singing (or acting) the harder it is. That also makes Nanyin super hard to sing. So Kunqu is both slow in singing and acting. Unfortunately not many people know how to appreciate it because it's too slow. It's like durian you know, either you love or you hate it. I was watching some clips earlier on and I really hope to attain that kind of acting skills I see in Kunqu. That kind that pull your heartstrings. That kind that will drown you inside.. I dunno how to explain it. For example, when I watched Mudanting's 寻梦, I was so touched by Du Li Nian...

Last Sunday I went back to the Indian Temple to perform again, this time it was 楼台会. Also first time actig this show, so we must record down to see nice or not. And we also took a token of appreciation from Tin Pei Ling. She asked me if I was doing Liang Zhu. I think not many people know what we are acting cuz it was yueju. After the event we went back to the changing room which was actually a bedroom. And then a string events happened. First of all Liang Shan Bo posed to attract yingtai's attention. Yingtai also posed back... LOL.... Then Shanbo quickly went over and clear up the things on the bed..... And start taking off his clothes~ The bed also haven finished packing already start to take off clothes.. tsk tsk.. Then you see yingtai's clothes on the bed.... Ok... the rest will be up to your imagination..... LOL....

Acted 楼台会 with Susan again yesterday. I have so many performances nowadays that it's hard to keep up with bloggin them. I act more than I can blog you know. Like last week I acted 爱歌 but I didn't blog it so I will blog it now. The thing about FB is that I always post my pictures there first so when I post them here again, they are no longer new. People who read my blog will be like 'chey, saw this in fb already.' But there is still a difference. I don't really write about the pictures I posted in fb, I just post. But I can write a lot of nonsense here.. :D Ponyo asked if I can draw my eyes even bigger. I said can but I will not draw too big. LOL... I liked my hairstyle! I tot it will make my face look round but apparently it did not. I also improvised with my hair pieces because I dun really have korean style stuff at home. Besides me and the Strawberry head susan, we still have Adeline and some other members to do Malay Dance on that day. They are pretty good at da...

I have tot of the story but I can't think of a name so just leave it as unknown first la... The January performances will be in JB and all of them are gezaixi. In March, Ang will be acting (as in the whole troupe) at Henderson which I am also looking forward to my mummy's role.

Recently many people said that she is getting better and better looking. Is that the magic of reaching 40 years old? Just like the china actress, I think they look best at 40 years old. Hee hee... Xiao guo was there too. He acted Sun wukong with another actress. He acted very well and I was watching them while changing at a room opposite the stage. A fighting show is not what every amateur actress can do. It takes lots and lots of practice and perserverance. After the show, I wanted to go back to remove make up. It was already 4:15 and I got class with Ang at 5pm. After much consideration and after calling my mum, I decided to go Ang's place to remove make up. It is a bloody risky move because I dunno what she will say. She can blow her top or she can just laugh at it. I can't predict. T...

Recently I did alot of shows, over the weekend I did 薛丁山与樊梨花, 浪漫梦幻版十相思 and 送信. 1 Gezaixi and 2 Yueju. It was quite tiring because I had to practice both 浪漫梦幻版十相思 and 送信 together and each only had like 1 practice before the show. Yes, you heard that right. I practiced once for 浪漫梦幻版十相思 and once for 送信. Not that I don't want to practice more but time was really tight with 3 shows over the weekend. And more over I need to edit music so I am pretty busy. So you must be thinking what the hell is 浪漫梦幻版十相思. LOL actually its some movements that we made up combined with some movements that Susan learnt before (think it was Zhang Dao who taught her). Then I decided to call it 浪漫梦幻版 because it is really quite 梦幻! LOL... I like it and hope to do it again but 十相思 is hard to sing la.. damn. got a super high note in the middle which makes me very stress. That day when I performed, the wind was blowing so it made my performance even more 梦幻. Heh. Unfortunately, KL only shot half a video of this sh...

I have lots of performances but I am not performing up to my expectations. So its very frustrating. Haiz... but still, I got to perform because if I dun do then no one do. I tell you all before right, my business is very good one lor, my mum also say our Hum Hum Opera Troupe very good business. Want to book us must early book. Hahaha. wat the hell lor... FED UP! No matter how I learn or practiced still like shit like that. pek cek lor.

Happy 喜: Angry 怒: Sad 哀: I personally like the sad photo the most. because cannot see my face! Nice! I like... Delighted 乐: After delighted, we can also see that Nick is very delighted! LOL... Then we guided some audience to do the emotions. And you can see that I also anyhow humtum my hair. Cuz that day I remember I finish work at 1.15pm. Yah I took half day. Then I still waited for Susan to come pick me up. Then I did make up in the car, yes, in case you are wondering, I did make up in a MOVING car. LOL... By 2pm, I was ready. That's why I did this simple hair style but good lah. I think the hair is nice. Adeline was sitting in the front seat, I was at the back seat, she turned around when we reached to see if I am done and she was surprised that I was done liao.. LOL, god speed! But of course I am still not as fast as some others who can do in 5 min...
