Me, Myself & Opera

Since the first day Shu Juan acted in GCB, she has seriously, SERIOUSLY shocked my mum with her sleepy eyes. My mum is now the number 1 fan of Lin Shu Juan! Today we went to see this show and in the Shu Juan's role died in the first 30 min. My mum was very very very sad!! She said,"Aiyah, tonight is last night liao! Why she die??? I cannot see her already... Aiyoh..." From that moment onwards, my mum sat on the chair with her head laid back or supported by her hand. Sometimes I see her eyes were half-closed. I barked,"OI! Sleeping ah!!" She said she never sleep but I know the truth lor. She is just super sian cuz Shu Juan's role died so soon. The story of this show is not very captivating, unlike the other one I saw the other night. So I kept getting distracted, thinking about other things, looking at the dan's costumes, thinking about the colour of the hair pieces they used etc. Very distracted that I don't really know what is going on in the show. ...

DECLARE: I declare that the below blog is entirely my personal opinions and there is no intention to attack anyone in particular. Oh Pek La was never my kind of opera. I watched an oh pek la without treating it as a form of opera. I treat it as a form of entertainment just like Ge Tai. When I watch street opera, 我把尺度放宽 and thus I am able to continue watching without fidgeting. However, when I watch Oh pek la, I have to totally treat it as a non-opera show because it seriously isn't! It is entertainment plus fashion show. I am not saying that it is not good. People do enjoy watching it but it's just not my type because I don't like to watch ge tai. And the reason I went is because I wanna see the other opera elements. So I am now gonna blog up photos that I took for the oh pek la. SJ acting as a kid but I think she is not suitable to be kid because of her face features.
