Wang Xi Feng - The most scheming woman in Hong Lou Meng. This is the name of the pictures of a show I found online. I dunno whether it is Pekin or YuJu cuz this troupe is divided into 2 troupes, one doing pekin one doing Yuju. This troupe is from Taiwan but their photos are really really nice~!! So pretty!!!! Look at her scheming look!!! These 2 are from other shows... but quite nice lor ..:

I remember that Amai once blogged about hiao dans. She can't stand hiao dans. I just bought a VCD, Zhan Wan Cheng, especially to watch this fa sao dan. She or he (I think he is a male dan) is so sao that I was quite surprised. Her kind of sao is call 'men sao'. The story was actually about war stuff. This woman... he hubby went out to war but did not return for 3 years. So she felt very lonely and sad. The scene featured was her acting all 'men sao'. I think she did a great job and her movements really show that she is very sao. Some more.. I think this dan is a man. (Yah i know he not very pretty la) Hee hee... is this considered as Amai's hiao dan???

See the clip below~ Actually I got the full show of this part called Tian Nv San Hua, but I lent it to SOMEONE and that SOMEONE never watch and never return me lor. I hope she dont lose it. The full show got more nicer movements and tricks. I got learn a few tips there but too bad the VCD is not with me now. So I am using this one from a variety show.

Charity show on 22 May, almost forgot to blog about it. That day I woke up at 9:30am. Didn't have much time to eat breakfast and watch tv, had to start doing make up liao as the show is 12pm, we supposed to arrive 11.45am. The other arrived at around 10am at my home and we all started making up. Susan requested to see Zhang Rui Hong's Liang zhu so I on it to show everyone while they do their make up. Susan like zhang rui hong alot. Very unlucky. it started to rain when we were about to leave home. See, taken in Susan's car. It's raining pigs and chicken. We managed with great difficulties to travel to the backstage. I didnt want to wet my shoes and costumes so I hugged them while walking to find the backstage. The damn rain didnt stop. Very unlucky, during the first song of Qiu yue and DLQ, the DJ kok up. He kpoly go and press next on the vcd player. The CD was made to just play continuously, no need to press next one. Then the kpo dj go press next, messed up the whol...

I think u all must find me very boliao right, cuz I always blog some very boliao and silly things. I am just trying to entertain u guys mah~ Hai yo.. Tao yan. Today, May made a special request asking me to blog more cuz i will be on leave tomolo and no one will chat with her~ oops.. i dont always chat in office one hor! So I am going to write some nonsensical stuff just to entertain May while she works. i don't know since when I become so nonsensical leh, I used to be so demure, delicate and quiet little girl. Since when I become so 3 8? I think ever since I learnt opera, I got to know some siao kias and they somehow drove me crazy, brainwashed me... Especially that Richard lor! The head of all siao kias. Ang must have a big headache bring this bunch of siao kias around. Remember I said before that for the Indonesia trip we are going to perform 5 shows? I very scared leh, I scared that I cannot act well then ppl throw eggs at...

Plucking flowers, zhai hua, is a traditional show of Liyuan opera. It is actually an excerpt of "Dong Yong", in huang mei xi named "Qi xian Nv". The huang mei version of this show is very famous and I think all of you should have heard of it before. However, in the liyuan version, it is different. In huangmei, the qi xian nv will try to block the path of dong yong when dong yong was on his way to work as a slave. In the liyuan version, dongyong was already working as a gardener and qi xian nv went into his garden to see him. In the garden, she plucked many flowers and made Dong yong very angry. Dongyong wanted to bring her to see his master but qi xian nv said that she can put the flowers back. So she proceeded to put the flowers back with her magical powers. Dong yong was amazed and asked her how she do it. Qi xian nv said that the secret method can be only passed to family members. Dong yong blur blur didnt know what she meant. Someone asked me if I can put up Lady White Snake, fighting scene. hee hee.. fortunately, I got one Lady White Snake, Pekin Opera, done by Shi Min. I think I don't need to tell u guys the story of Lady white Snake ba... Shi Min, I don't think she was a wudan originally but she fights really well in the clip, even though there was a miss when she kicked spears. Since kicking spears is the hot topic now, I will post a part where Bai Su Zhen kick spears during the Shui Man Jin Shan part at the end. The beginning part will be Bai Su Zhen trying to snatch the Ling Zhi to save Xu Xian. May, I didn't know Bai su zhen uses double sword, if I know i would have shown u earlier on. oops.. Hope Pinoycowboy will like this part he want me to upload!

The long awaited BAN ZHAO! I FINALLY CAN WATCH IT!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SHiok... ok.. I finished watching Ban Zhao already and this show has only 6 actors but it was a very very touching show. I love it! Ban Zhao is a young lady, sister of Ban Gu. She was talented and smart and her brother was a teacher in a small school. Ban Gu had 2 students, Ma Xu and Cao Shou. Ma Xu was honest and humble but Cao Shou was arrogant and .. fengliu. Ban Zhao also had a maid called Sha Da Jie. One day, an eunuch came to the school to inform Ban Gu that he can now continue to write his historical book called Han Shu as the empress is lifting the ban. Ban Gu was very happy but he was getting old and was afraid that he cannot finish hanshu. So he ask his sister to marry either one of his student so that the student can finish the book for him. However, the sister doesn't know who to choose in the end she drew lots. Who knows she chose the Cao Shou. ... I wondering if i should continue with the story ...

Finally can blog liao, firstly, talk about the show at SL on last sat. SL was very honoured to be chosen by the Singapore news and arts department to be one of the sponsored troupe. I dunno the name of the department in English but agaration is like that la. This department is going to do a big production and they are recruiting 7 organisations to participate. One organisation will do the costume, one to design the lights, one to design the advertisment etc and SL was selected to perform. Upon confirmation, there might be even a world tour! So last sat, we do a performance just to let the department representatives see. There are a few Ang moh, a few who dun like chinese.. abit malay abit eurasians and a few chinese.. Talk so much fei hua.. see photos ba! Goofing around before the show.. they were dancing to the song of Huo Yuan Jia by Jay. Only took this one photo during the show.. Today went SL to practice singing for guan yin dan. Well, this time guan yin dan got no show but I still have to sing. I sucks at singing still ask me to sing. For now, I only have one piece but they might give me more as the programmes are not out yet. The point is... after my singing class, the others started practicing Si Bao. I didn't want to practice Si Bao as I have too many things to practice. No time you know. Si Bao is a musical instrument made with 4 pieces of bamboo. Each hand will hold 2 piece and the banging of the bamboo pieces will create a clear 'tiak tiak' sound. The player then can start doing graceful dance movements with the bamboo pieces while clicking them together. I recorded a clip of them practicing. and a photo of steven, Then also found some nice clips which I took a long time ago in SL, some clips of us practicing or rehearsing... I like this song, E Mao Xue. It is a very touching piece. If you ever have a chance of listening to the Nanyin versio...

Today went to GCB to watch Xin Sai Hong. I was bored and thought that the aunties will bring photos for me to see but in the end the aunties are not there. Another motive for going gcb was to see if there are any nice costumes or hair pcs but in the end I was disappointed. The costumes were either too flashy or too plain. Sianz half. However, I think the first costume that the male lead wore was quite nice. The black one with blue rims. Hmmm.. Nice, simple and nice. I think I will imitate that to make a dan's costume. Li qin came today too so I chopped a seat for her. But when she arrived, we were so busy talking that we did not watch much of the show. Then, we quiet down and watch the last part... but I almost fell asleep cuz I dunno what the hell they talking lor.. never sing.. talk non stop... haiz... Finally show ended at 11pm and lq sent us home. I din take any photos tho may requested me to... oops.. Me at GCB~

Today introduce 2 opera clips ok. One is Crazy Dream which is 痴梦 in chinese and the other is Sell Water, 卖水. I have been grumbling that I want to learn to act Sell water but till now I didn't get the chance. Chi Meng is actually and excerpt from 'Zhu Mai Chen'. It's about this woman called Cui Shi, who married a man called Zhu Mai Chen. At the time of marriage, Zhu was a poor man and Cui felt that she is suffering with him and decided to dump him. She forced Zhu to sign the divorce paper and kick him out of the house. Who knows, Zhu became an official and Cui was shocked. She regretted to have kicked him out of the house. She started thinking of the old times and ways to go back to Zhu. After some time, she felt tired and fell asleep. Then she had a dream. In the dream, she was presented with the Feng Guan Xia Pi. When she finally woke up, she realised that it's just a dream and she actually didn't have any chance to go back to Zhu. In my clip, I included a few ...

Yah, at the second half of the show, there was a short circuit. Fortunately, Ang went out to entertain the audience if not they will just walk off!!! I very tired, why not I let my pictures say the words since each picture can say a thousand words. Two photos to show you guys that I am a giant when I stand with the other dans. I developed 70+ photos yday and that cost me $31. Tomorrow I will continue to develop another 40 photos...

Yah, last time I dedicated to Amai before, this time, May requested that I blog about her ribbons. The day before the performance, May specially tied tiny ribbons on her fake plaits. The blue and pink ribbons are tied there to match her costumes. And she want everyone to know that she tied those tiny ribbons till 3am! Now let's take a close look at her ribbons.

The show went on smoothly for the first half. I didn't do my do ma well and teacher was telling me yday,"Your do ma wasn't as good as the rehearsals but the audience still 'o lo' you. How?" Then she laughed... Hahaha.. I say,"I know where the problem is." Think Qiu yue and my mum did well. QY sets the audience off laughing with her exaggerated movements and reactions. My mum memorised her lines well and was quite natural that day. I think the feedback was good for that day's performance. That's why teacher was smiling the whole day during KTV session. Hee hee... The feedback from the audience is the most important. If the audience say it's not good, we are all going to kana from ang. Ok, I very happy that my friend sent me the photos. They are very pretty! I love those photos taken on stage. Nice ????????

Better start writing about TBH else I will forget about what happened that day liao. Ok.. I reached there at about...1.30pm. We shared a cab with ZX. She is staying near me, you see. When I reached there, the first thing I did was ask Ang if the hair pieces I arranged on my wig is ok. She look awhile.. change a few pieces here and there.. explain that my gu ding should be pushed behind a bit more and said it's ok. So I went back and started with my make up. My mum started her make up a bit later as she was have her wig combed by Ang and arranging the flowers for the wig. Then me, ZX and my mum started the make up. Da li qin was surprised and said that we dun need to start so early but aiyah.. I ai mei can or not. After I finished fumbling with my make up, it is already about 3:30pm. Then came all the work of blowing the wig, arranging my stuff.. then suddenly richard say.. GET READY IN 5 MIN. OMG Ang wants a rehearsal again. Stress liao... So we rehearsed the whole thing again an...
