Me, Myself & Opera

Me, together with YL and Tian, had a radio interview 2 weeks ago and yesterday, the clip was posted online finally so we can all hear it. The first part of the interview was about our new show, Doctor, and the second part is about chinese opera. YL was very enthu so she talked alot when we were asked about our new show. Tian was very quiet, she said that she dun speak well. I spoke more during the second half when we were chatting generally about opera. I said quite alot of things which I either read in books before or saw from someone else's interview before so the things I said might sound familiar. I have seen so many info and so many interviews of chinese opera that I just blah on and on when asked. Maybe i got use alot of other ppl's copyrighted sentence. I dunno la.. heck. Yoday we had our final rehearsal . Supposed to be full dress rehearsal but because we acted before with the costume le, we din really bother to 'full dress', just wear parts of the costumes for show. See, we were all 'partly dressed', not 'full dressed'. Hee hee.. A close up shot. The dancers of the day were MD, Joanne and BaoHua. They only need to dance thru out the show lor. Joanne was very funny, the way she dance. I think that she make a good xiaosheng lor, with her height and build. She may look good with some good make up skills. My mum very funny, half man half woman. Becuz she was supposed to change to a maid role after a man's role but her costume was worn by ZX so she never change costume, only change wig. So funny.. I red liao la, got a few performance lined up. Hahaha.. yah right, as if. It's good to have lots of performance, then I won't get too bored with my life. Let's see... 29 June - Doctor 30 June - Charity show 13 July - Help out with the Yueju troupe performance 20 July - Qian Nv (Dunno if got cancel or not) 1 August - Guan Yin Dan 11 August - Li Ya Xian (full show finally!) 22 Sept - Cantonese opera (help out) That's all for now~

I very stress. Really lor. Today went rehearsal for Doctor again and guess what?? New songs and new actions... Enough or not? Enough is enough lor. I know Chua is trying to make the show nicer by adding songs and actions etc but..... ENOUGH is ENOUGH lor.. Not like we got another month before the show for us to slowly digest the new things you know. Haiz. We are not full time leh, can spend the whole day at home memorising the new lines and movements. I got no time lor seriously. Haiz.. Today is 24 June le. The performance is like 4 days away? and I got 2 more songs (minimum) which until know I dunno the lyrics yet. I'd rather that I sing less than to make a fool of myself on stage by forgetting my lyrics. Wah lau eah..

Today I went SL to start rehearsal on Li Ya Xian. The show will be staged on 11 Aug at Esplanade's studio. It was a big project for SL becuz Esplanade sponsored SL the place and the sound system and invited SL to do a performance. Normally they will invite CTC only to do performance there but this time the decided to include some other opera types. So SL is cooking up a new script for Li ya xian.. Well.. not exactly a new script la but they wanted to do something special for this show. It will not be a traditional Liyuanxi as we included a modern man acting as a photographer in the show. Anyway, today we rehearsed Lian Hua Luo first becuz we should be more familiar with this scene. However, this time, there will be a change in the cast. Uncle will not be the head of the beggars anymore. He will be doing Zheng Yuan He throughout the whole show. Instead, Biyu will do the beggar's head. Uncle told me just now.. Yeah, finally I am going to post some pics of the doctor show. I have resized the photos and they are now ready for uploading. Ah may arranging her super dua ban guding and hair pcs. The hair pcs were actually placed by xiu mei jie. May is very happy cuz she can finally be DUA BAN! Today she is female lead leh. Please dun play play. Once again, I cant get anyone to take photo for me cuz everyone is busy with their hair pcs.. or make up so I took the photo myself.
