Me, Myself & Opera

I have been watching 2 days of Yueju since Shao Xing came to Singapore. Overall I think their performance is fine. First night was not too bad. Second night was ok because I think Chen Fei did well but then the ending was not so good. Yesterday night when I was browsing Zhang Lin's vblog, I came across Mao Mao's vblog and went in. I saw that she had released 3 movies last year but the movies were not shown in Singapore (as usual). We always miss out all the good stuff!! So sad. Then I continued browsing and saw some nice pictures here. Recently, I have been feeling quite down because I am once again experiencing a 瓶颈 situation. I am once again feeling that I cannot improve and I embarassed myself too much by acting so badly in so many performance. I didn't keep harping on it to everyone I see because it is very tiring to hear about such negative stuff. So most of the time I just feel very down when I am alone. I dunno about others but I always have this very down period like every few months. Maybe I am by nature a pessimistic person or maybe I am very lacking in confidence. I just felt that I do badly in my opera and that compared to others I am like shit. However, I am still grateful for those people who believed in me and encouraged me all these while. Keep telling me that I can do it and keep telling me that I have improved. I need it. Teachers I met also dote on me. Especially 张导, 李老师, haining etc... And Naiba also. My precious hair pcs! I love my hair pcs very much! Thanks to YC who makes such beautiful hair pieces for me. I am taking out my hair pieces and arranging them nicely into the box and at the same time appreciating their beauty. LOL... My beatiful darlings..... Some time ago, I sold some sets away to Hang Juan (yueju actress) cuz she also loves them and appreciate them. She came to my home and viewed all my hair pcs. Then she requested to buy them from me. I didn't want to sell. My hair pcs are precious u know! I suggested to order for her and ask yc send to Hangzhou but she thought it will be easier if she buys from me and then I order again for myself. Haiz, so in the end I sold lor. I sold 2 sets to her. Which later Susan told me that Hangjuan bought those 2 sets for her friends. Then I order again these 2 sets which finally after very long time arrived at my home. So once again I was happy! WEeee~! Everytime I search for some yueju photos, I will come across yang ting na's photos. And her photos always catch my attention. I think she is a very photogenic xiao sheng. She really looks very good on photos!! When I watched her shows, she doesn't look as good as the photos though she is still handsome lah. LOL But her photos are just so nice. Not everyone is so lucky to have such a photogenic face!! Below is a very nice poster!!! Sometimes once in awhile, yueju will come up with a production that wears modernised costumes.. Since the first day Shu Juan acted in GCB, she has seriously, SERIOUSLY shocked my mum with her sleepy eyes. My mum is now the number 1 fan of Lin Shu Juan! Today we went to see this show and in the Shu Juan's role died in the first 30 min. My mum was very very very sad!! She said,"Aiyah, tonight is last night liao! Why she die??? I cannot see her already... Aiyoh..." From that moment onwards, my mum sat on the chair with her head laid back or supported by her hand. Sometimes I see her eyes were half-closed. I barked,"OI! Sleeping ah!!" She said she never sleep but I know the truth lor. She is just super sian cuz Shu Juan's role died so soon. The story of this show is not very captivating, unlike the other one I saw the other night. So I kept getting distracted, thinking about other things, looking at the dan's costumes, thinking about the colour of the hair pieces they used etc. Very distracted that I don't really know what is going on in the show. ...
