Gui Pu Sa and a Kunqu clip

Well well.. Mai Jie encouraged me to blog about Gui Pu Sa. I didn't want to blog it as she just did that. While I am writing this, I am still watching it. At disc 2 now. At first, I borrowed this show just to see the costume and hair pcs... rather than watching the show.

First thing I must comment is the disco light. How come it is at the back of the stage like a disc? 8 big colour spotlights are very distracting lor and make the whole stage look like july ge tai.. Without the 8 spotlights, the stage still look not bad.

Chen Zhao Xiang (CZX) is indeed very 'street'. Her speech can be improved to be less 'street'. Looks wise.. not bad but she lack the 'Shu juan wei', scholarly look. When she act this kind of role like gui pu sa, it's still ok but I think she not suitable to do roles like.. liang shan bo etc. Her singing quite good but she is not a JING so why does she use 'hu yin'? Hu yin does not match her role. Anyhow use.. She already dun have scholarly look, the hu yin made her look even more rough. Acting.. quite good.

Now, I watching a part where there is a wedding and 4 girls came out to dance.. OMG.. They dance like they got no energy, sian sian lidat.

Zheng Ya Shen (ZYS), is pretty la, some angle not pretty but overall still pretty but she is soooo 38. I think I mentioned before. She is a thousand gold lady mah, should be more demure, yong rong, duan zhuang but nope. She is only a 38. So far, all her show I have seen are 38. Even if she act as princess. Basically, she did not dig into the role to find out how she should carry herself. She acted all the roles in the same manner. Erm.. sorry if there are any of her fans around ah... but that is what I personally felt.

My mum say her hair very messy... The toushi not nicely arranged.

OMG.. Now CZX wife kana snatched.. and she kept using hu yin to sing... abit cannot tahan...

the plot quite not bad. It got my mum's attention and I also interested in how the story will go on..

The clown.. suay guei ni.. is not bad leh. As a clown, he can do funny gestures and speak his lines in a more casual way. I felt that he quite natural lor.

I must also comment that I like some of the costumes! hee hee... There isn't any costume with sequins in this show. I like some of ZYS costumes and her hair pcs but I don't like the way she arranged it.

Now I saw ZYS play with long water sleeve.. Her voice suddenly become hoarse.. haiz.. not careful when singing. Her long water sleeves... ok lor.. she didnt do anything special.

Oh yah.. I want to tell u all what uncle lim think of the Bi Hai Qing Tian show. He told me he got watch and he didn't like it. I told him that someone commented xiaomi looked like cabaret dancer. He laughed and CS agreed.

Uncle Lim only made one comment. He said that at the end of the show, Xiao mi had to undergo some torture to become human and at that part, she should be very determined and strong. However, in the show, she cried and showed fear in her face and started singing ku diao.. Uncle said that is so wrong because the ling bo xian zi should be very noble and strong since she is willing to give up everything and undergo this torture. The way she handled the feel at that scene is wrong.

Teacher guo ran is teacher. He can see alot of things which me and CS didn't see. I didnt notice that point till he mention.
