Meeting at SL
Today, there was a meeting at SL at 2pm. I was very tired but I still went for the meeting. I arrived on time and chatted with a few of the members. As usual, they were fooling around. At the beginning of the meeting, we talked about the financial status of SL. We were not doing very well and SL is planning to become a commercialised performing organisation. That is a good idea. We need to really become more commercialised in order to survive. We can't eat arts to survive.
Anyway, today we voted for comittee members. Each person was distributed a voting form 2 weeks ago and by now almost everyone has returned their vote. I took part in counting the votes and I think I got a fair share amount of votes. I didn't want to join the committee member as I was afraid that I might not be able to cope. Anyway, I might not have enough numbet of votes to be one.
Today we did not announce the results of the voting. So I think we will get to know it only next week.
After counting the votes, the aunties brought out the home made refreshments for us. Green bean soup and dumplings.
Steven started playing guzheng with the playing sticks of Yang Qin.. -_-"
The I got another thing to announce. SL is going to hold opera movement class too. Hee hee...
For this session, we will be teaching the basics plus horse whip. Please spread the words for me.
Another announcement, SL is going to sell costumes!!! hahahaha.. and hairpieces.. but china style i think...:)
As a member of SL, I going to have priviledge to preview the costumes first and Tiam soh say I can have 10% discount.. hahaha... so good.

And the costumes are in good condition. We are selling those that we wore only once or twice. We do not wear those often so we decide to might as well sell them off. Prices should be quite reasonable. This wed we will be going to sort out the costumes and set the prices.
Ask a question...by joining the class, do we have to act at the end of the course?
amai: They might choose to sell everything which they seldom use as we want to raise $$. We are only keeping those that we are wearing often.
For movement class, we are not acting after the lessons. It is a purely learning session. No obligations, no need to join as SL member.
