Well, got an sms this morning that I still blog about taiwan. Ok la.. Today blog something else. I must keep up to the expectations to my visitors! Hahah ..sorry la... recently quite busy leh, seldom at home so can't blog much. I will try tho.

ok, talk about my coming performance. We are going to perform Mahabaratha on 3 Nov at the Kreta Ayer Theatre. It's once again an indian legend. I think the original story should be quite nice but unfortuantely, the story is too long to perfrom in 2 hours and hence I think the audience will be very blur.

My role for this show will be a god in the beginning, a very minor role, who was sent to reincarnate with his 7 other brothers to suffer. After that I will be acting as Kundi, an empress. The emperor will be HXY who will die soon and then will act as my son. Imagine HXY is my son. Abit weird lor. First time leh. I have got 5 sons and HXY will be one of them. These 5 sons will fight with the 100 sons of May. May is a princess who married a blind emperor. The blind emperor is a brother of my husband. Then May gave birth to 100 sons. I dunno how the hell she did that but she did it in the show with her blind husband.

The main story will be these 5 sons fighting against that 100 sons of May I think. I havent got the ending of the script yet.. So I dunno..

Anyway, I am also very weary of acting. Haiz...

Then at SL, we are going to act chen 3 5 niang, 5 scenes. I will be doing the scene of 'liu san' as yi chun. Uncle will of cuz be Tan 3. This show will be staged on 9 Nov at the temple. Come and see if u are free hor.

Recently I also got the DVD of spirits. I dunno who asked for it but i remembered someone asking me for a clip of this show which at that time I do not have. So now I going to put up 2 clips of Shaoling and Ouyang Bingwen.

I put up uncle cuz he my teacher mah and I like his part alot. As for OuYang Bingwen, I like his performance too. However, his song like a bit too low and i cant hear his voice when he sing at such a low pitch. I like his role, Yu Xuan Ji.. very touching story.. Ok..



Liyuanxi, my favourite opera type yo!



Ouyang Bingwen's one is in Cantonese opera. I think the tune that he sang was nice too.

aiyo.. the spirits dvd i dunno its for sale or not.. looks like it is leh.. they even put subtitles. I go ask.

hahaha i just mailed u a DVD leh. If i know u want this show then we dun need to send each other DVD liao.. hahaha... I dun have DVD burner. I will need to pass to YH to help me burn.

I don't think it will be for sale la... for more internal archive. Most likely they might want to perform it again, even not locally, so it makes no sense to release the DVD and then affect their boxoffice. Again DVDs for such shows has got very small market, even in US or Europe, so not commercially viable too.

3 more students joined COI. That officially makes COI GZX troupe a very crowded troupe. In fact, overly crowded. There are 21 students now and including Ang, we will have 22 actresses/actors. Ang is going to have problems squeezing in all the students into 1 show. I don't think there are lots of shows which have 22 roles. Bao Hua and Zhu Ying has joined us for some time so they are not considered newbie already (MD mentioned that they are newbies in his blog). The 3 newbies I am talking about are Wanru, Si Qing and Ai Qing. Si Qing and Ai Qing are not sisters. They just happened to have 'Qing' in their names. I have not taken pictures of Siqing and Aiqing but I will try to take some and blog. I have got a few pics of Wanru but I will blog another day. Holland Rd Performance

Yesterday we had a performance at Holland Road Blk 2. I was doing the excerpt 'Broken Bridge' of Madam white snake and the others were doing Tang Bo Hu. I couldn't find a Xu Xian (YH dun like this role) so I got no choice but to ask Naiba for help. Heng he was free that day to help us. Kanglong found a very nice spot to take photos and everyone took photos at that spot.... I think this spot is nice too with the pillar behind and the flowers and the white background... Me and Naiba... Hmm, too bad his face kana hidden in shadow lor. Susan as green snake. I didn't realise that she was wearing the costume wrongly lor.. haiz, too late to inform her liao... I like to act with Naiba cuz I don't look fat with him. I stomach pain... need to go toilet... :P Pain until cannot walk le.... sob sob... Cannot find toilet, I very sad.... I believe the toilet is there..... Cannot find toilet, I think I better take a break here... Believe me, I know where the toilet is.... Green sn...

I was browsing the internet looking at opera related videos when I came across a song 'N+1' sang by Chris Lee. Man, I was surprised by the opera elements in the song! She combined hip hop and chinese opera (like Jay and Lee Hom) and the MTV is quite nice. It's like abit of hip hop dance and some chinese opera. Chris Lee even dressed up in opera 'wu dan' costume! Hee hee, but she looked a bit weird. Her actions are good but looks wise, weird. Ok, the MTV. I should learn to sing this song. Lol...
