Li Ya Xian Brochure
Yesterday Biyu jie show me the brochure for Liyaxian that explanade email her. I ask her to forward it to me so that I can show you guys.
This brochure will be distributed from Monday onwards and there will be a website made for it too.
This is the cover page. Biyu jie don't like it and several people don't like it but it was too late to change anything because they have already started printing. Haiz.. Biyu jie said that the pic of Uncle Lim does not match with Ruwang but Ruwang does not have any proper opera photo and this photo was taken during rojak. Uncle's photo was take especially for this brochure so they look sort of different. Biyu asked Ruwang before to retake some proper opera photos for this flyer but she didn't have any time. Too busy with work.
When Susan saw this brochure she exclaimed:"Aiyoh! Why uncle look like Cha BOR???"
Uncle: It's because of the hat ba, cuz we got that hat from YueJu.. So maybe I look more feminine in that.
Susan: Aiyoh! It's not because of the hat la, it's the person. It's because you got cha bor face.
Me: Imagine bala in that hat, he will not look feminine lor.
Susan: Hahaha.. yah la!
Indeed, he will be mistaken as a female sheng in a photo like that.
The inside of the brochure. This design is not bad lor. I think the photo of ruwang at the top right hand corner looks nice. The bottom left corner is Huang Hui. He will be acting as a photographer. I still don't know what the modern script will be like. Can't wait for the script to come out.
As I said, tickets already selling at $35 but if you want to see, can buy now which will be only $30 by 22 July. Biyu ask me to consolidate how many tickets I want then she will book together.
This time, esplanade is giving SL a bigger share of the ticket money earned than other opera troupes. Reason being that SL was spending alot of money on this project. Although we didn't make any new costumes (Uncle did make one tho.. a white sheng costume), we employed professional scriptwriter, light designer, hair designer, teacher liu from china to come play drums....etc.
So excited to have a hair designer because I know the person they employing and she is REALLY GOOD! My god.. the hairstyle she do, so elegant. Chio!
Overall, very excited over the show. I am going to work hard for it. I hope I do well.. *prays hard*
We must really do well this time because we want to show the beauty of liyuan opera to Singapore. There will be so many people who are going to watch liyuan opera for the first time. must give them good impression..
There will be a short presentation about liyuan opera before the show starts and our uncle and auntie lim will be demonstrating. If wanna come, come earlier, dun miss the demo~
