Ramayana
We will be acting Ramayana (yes, yet again) on 22.06.08 and 29.06.08. Haiz, it's a bad idea to act the same show on both days cuz it's hard to get audiences. Too bad this show was organised by COI and they wanted us to do Ramayana because the CC had sponsored some fees for the Iran trip.
And so, we had to do the Iran version of Ramayana with the same cast. However, as we got lots of students, we can now have more maids and soldiers. In Iran, YH had to perform 3 roles but now she doesn't need to do that. That means she has got only one scene and after that she can wait for xie mu.
There is a trend in COI now to be soldiers rather than maids. Maybe cuz they see our soldier so cute that day so they want to try too. On Saturday, Ang was asking the newbies and the non-Iran actors if they want to do soldiers or maids. Apparently, most of them opted to be soldiers. I think it's the 'IN' thing now.
Actually, I did learn something from the soldier role of the previous performance. I have learnt the tiny details of handling the qiang as well as some tips for the movements. It was good and Li laoshi thought us well. (but he can be quite forgetful)
Ang convinced the students to use this chance to learn some fighting movements from Li,since Li will be in charge of the soldiers. Me too think it's a good chance for the newbies and the others to learn some basics. Even May was assigned to the soldier but then May cannot act cuz of her face lah... Haiz.. So she will just try to learn the soldier fighting sequence but not act. Silly May. She was very funny lor when she tried to do soldier on Saturday. Lousy sia. More ah gua than me. Cannot make it lah.
Speaking of the performance on 31 May, we saw the video and we were satisfied with our fighting sequence.. YAY!!! We were quite uniform and movements were quite smooth. Ang was satisfied too and she said that my mum improved. Of course lah, my mum put in alot of hard work. Very happy lor that we have done well for the soldiers.
Ok, back to Ramayana.... I was saying that the cast remained mostly the same which means Naiba gonna act with us again! YAY!! DOUBLE YAY!! It will be like last time when we were preparing to go Iran, so full of nonsense and joy. Naiba may seems very serious and dull but he is actually a super nonsense person lor. Talk alot of crap, crack alot of jokes and he dotes on us. So I am happy that we are going to perform together again.
Also, Kanglong is going to be the monkey again. Yay! Monkey is funny! And I can once again listen to his funny teochew accents.. :P Cannot make it one.
So good right, now we got Naiba, Kanglong and the 2 crazy malay guys together with the rest of the 23 members in COI.. It's a mega big show lor. It will be very crowded changing room and a very crowded stage!

Happiness aside, I am quite stress to re-do this role leh. Though I have done it before, I think I have lost touch liao. I can't find the feel when I rehearse on Saturday. Jia lat man... That time I practiced alot for the Iran trip and I can more or less grasp the role. Now, I got problem feeling like Sek Do again. Die.
I think maybe it's because I have been practicing the soldier for the past 1 month and before that, I was having a long break so I already totally forgot how to act already. Haiz. I must quickly find back the feel before the show day.
