Han Dan Ji 29 May

I have been talking about rehearsing this Han Dan Ji since a long time ago but we didn't act it until 29 May. Finally, we acted the show that we have practiced for such a long time, on and off.


This is the first time I acting as an old woman. For the first part of the show, I acted as a young lady. Then I got married and then my husband got sent to exile. After that when he was released, we live peacefully till 80 years old.

My first time, I rather liked it. I think it's cute! haha the white wig is cute! Some friends told me I dun look like old lady. I look more like 白发魔女. :)

May and Susan, not so romantic.. Hahaha. taking photo with susan is tricky cuz she is so skinny! If you are not careful, you will look like giant beside her. Trust me. I know her so well.

May in her new costume. Nice? She very long never doll up this way liao. In her own make up, her own costume etc. So I think she must be very happy la.

Miss Tan, the 店小二。In her hand, she is holding her famous claypot rice. Miss Tan was very stress over this role. She kept getting the moves wrong and kana from Ang. But I think she is cute! LOL, she is really very cute when she acted this role.

Our Emperor, the emperor who can make the hearts of the female audiences flutter. LOL, the emperor that can attract all the aunties to want to follow him... er her home.

Erm can see me at the side taking photo of this attitude emperor which reminded me that I got a story to tell.

I was taking photos with Susan happily and trying out different funny poses. We were doing this below romantic pose when suddenly our emperor shouted very loudly,"MIKO HUANG!!!!!"

And I mean she really shouted very loudly. I was stunned abit and turned around. I said,"SIMI DAI JI!!!!"

Which means 'What is it' in hokkien.

YH,"Help me wear costume."

Me,"Wah lau eah...." I turned to Susan,"Paiseh lah, the emperor ask me to help her wear clothes. Cannot take photos liao."

I turned back to YH, wanted to help her wear her costume when she suddenly realised,"Shit I am not wearing my cai yi* yet."

*Caiyi - A piece of white clothing we wear under the costumes. We must always wear Cai yi under costumes to prevent dirtying it.

Me,"Wah lau eah.. u buey song issit, never wear cai yi then ask me help you wear costume."

YH," I see you and Susan so intimate taking photos, I not happy mah. So I shout lor!"

What the hell lor. YH is jealous! Then we all collapsed laughing.

Tian and QY, wearing as red as red packets!

My mum, the taoist. She that night sang well and she forged this very shengish voice. We made fun or her saying that she is very scheming, she never forge this shengish voice during rehearsals and only do it in the actual performance. May said she is trying to 'gan diao' all the other shengs. Hahaha..

Alot of rubbish always happens during shows and rehearsals. We talk so much and laugh so much that sometimes teacher cannot stand us also.
