Last year, before I started learning Yueju, I saw Hang Juan's performance at Jubilee Hall. Before that, I saw her rehearsal and I really like her performance. I think she is a really good actress. She doesn't 敷衍 or 带过 in her roles which many full time actresses does. Some actresses acted too much until they can't put in anymore feelings in their performance.

Her singing style is Qi Style, the one that I find very difficult. Qi is not really a main stream singing style. I was tudou-ing Hangjuan's video this afternoon and my mum asked me why this dan sing like that? Like she has got no breath and the melody is so flat... LOL..

Last year when she came to Singapore, she bought some hair pieces from me and I was surprised to find some videos of her using them. She looks so much like a GZX dan with those hair pieces. :D Think she is the first yueju dan to use GZX hair pcs ba.. lol..

Here are some of the videos I found. The first one, you can see quite clearly, the red hair pieces, the first set of hair piece I bought! In this show, she was acting as a princess.

I am posting another video of her here which I think is very very cute! Her actions and acting are very cute, I like! :)

Apparently after she used the red hair pieces, many yueju dans became interested in them and this red set is very hot, I already helped them order 3 sets. LOL...

Lastly, in this video, she used a set of hair pieces which I like very much and I was actually very reluctant to sell to her. Then in the end I still sell and bought another same set back. Then later her friend also want this set so I once again sold the one that I just ordered so now I have to order again!

When I first saw this video, I was shock because I saw that she was holding mic!! Since when Yueju got this same trend as gzx? Use handheld mic on stage??? I will faint lor. I mean I will faint BIG TIME! Until the end of the song then I realised that it is actually a 清唱. Phew...

Then later I saw another clip of ke juan wearing 驸马 costume and so they must be acting 'Beat The Princess' ba I guess. And since 'Beat the Princess' is a LV style singing, I am thinking Hangjuan was singing Qi style for the audience (Her Qi style singing is quite popular).

So it all made sense...

And by the way, I like her costume. :D
