Hair styling

Recently, I got to know this Canadian girl who is interested in cultural stuff. We often talk about chinese opera and I am surprised that she does know some things about chinese opera and from my photo, she can tell that I am doing Ge Zai Xi.

She is very interested in how I style my hair and how wig actually looks like so I told her that I will take photos of the process and explain to her. It is very difficult to explain the process without photos because she probably can't imagine what a 'gu ding' looks like.

Yesterday I spent a good 1 hour or so messing with my wig and hair pieces. YH was smsing me at the same time but I told her I am busy. She ask me 'busy wat?'. I told her I am messing with my wig. She replied that I ki siao, no performance mess with wig for what.

I am a very nice friend lor. If any friends of mine is interested in opera-related stuff, I don't mind make an effort and show it to them. In a way I am trying to spread the arts of opera.

(Talking about opera arts, YH, May and me got a funny conversation about it on Sunday.)

Back to the topic, I took some time to arrange the hair pieces but no matter how I arrange, they don't look nice leh. Think I was not on form yesterday or maybe I was abit tired. So in the end I just did something which looked overall ok only. Haiz..

I was thinking about posting those photos here too but then I remembered that EVERYONE who is reading my blog probably knows how to fix the 'dan' hairdo. There is no need to provide step by step instructions here. LoL.

I have sent the photos and explanations to her. Hopefully she can understand what I am trying to say!
