Ban Xian again
My second time to ban xian and this time I once again ban 何仙姑. I think I will only ban 何仙姑 because my godfather like my 何仙姑 very much. He told me that with me as 何仙姑 in his troupe, I can help him attract many attention. LOL. Mad lor. Attract attention to me what, not to him anyway.
Maybe he thinks I am somekind of walking advertisement.
I reached Beach road at about 10am. This temple belongs to Ah Sam, who is also one of the 叽童。 Anybody knows how to write the 'Ji' in chinese because I don't know so I just anyhow choose one.
When I reached the temple, ah sam was still eating bee hoon. Damn hungry leh me, never eat breakfast then bia to the temple liao.... Stomach growling. Lucky got bee hoon. Then the Ah tian tian tian, qy, qian hoon etc already started to make up liao... Aiyoh.. I haven eat my bee hoon.
After eating, I finally got energy to make up and put on my nice nice flower hair pieces.. Yay, I love my hair pieces. I am going to use them again for this Saturday show.
Actually on the day I ban xian, I was very stressed because that night I have a performance at temple at 745pm. I have to rush there after I ban xian and the Ah sam keep telling me that the ban xian will delay till 7+ then finish. Very stress leh. I keep bugging Naiba, 撒娇 to him that I will die if I don't appear in time at the performance.
The 游景 didn't start until 130pm. Stressed, so scared it cannot finish on time.
Finally we set off in a LORRY... to our first temple. It's a freaking lorry with very big wind that can blow my gu ding off. I was very worried that my hair pieces will fall off the lorry lor so I held on to my guding through out the whole journey to our first temple.
Inn the lorry, qian hoon tell my mum,"抓紧一点，要飞掉了."
My mum,"夹得很紧不会飞掉啦。"
I was sitting between Tian and my mum and I was puzzled.
Me,"What you all talking about sia..."
Qian Hoon,"想不到我们的育英有这么大的魅力。"
She explained that just now when I was talking to naiba and helping people to do make up, some of the guys there were watching me and saying things like 被仙姑迷去了. Mad or what... Aiyoh.. They never see the real me with my pimples and fatty round face lor. Anyway, I am xian gu leh, how can say something like that right... MAD.
After the very nonsense talk, we reached the first temple, we were so super thirsty. Yuzhen cannot tahan and went into this kopitiam to buy drinks. Haiz.. our 蓝采和 buying drinks in kopitiam. Can you imagine?
Yuzhen and nai ba inside the kopitiam buying 100 plus for all of us.
The rest of us just stood outside an waited.
Naiba very thirsty. He that day in charge of Ah sam's make up, so he never banxian. He has to keep doing touch up for ah sam. Poor naiba, but we poorer cuz we have to wear very hot costumes in this hot hot sun. Almost died.

This 蓝采和 one hand carry flowers, other hand carry 100 plus. Funny right? I think people there who see us will faint lor. What kind of 8 immortals are we. And me, I was busy taking photos. See yuzhen expresion, she looks very pek cek. That QY behind her is 张果老. This 张果老 still got 几分姿色. She looks good in this I think.
We walked for a big round and then prayed at the temple. Then we head back to the lorry. Along the way, the lion dance guys called out to me... XIAN GU~~~ Like this. I ignored.. and continued walking.
Then they continue to shout xian gu gu gu guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Wah lau.. It was very funny lor. So I secretly laugh. A guy shouted,"Xian gu don't secretly laugh leh."
Mad lor.
Our 蓝采和 very angry and retaliated,"Shout what shout? Keep shouting Xian gu for what? Never see girls before issit?!"
Wah, 蓝采和 very fierce.
Very funny, then we went to the lorry and when we arrived at the third temple, the lion dance guys come again and called 蓝采和~~~ Then told Yuzhen that they had called her already, dun say they never call her.
They turned to me and asked me if I am Taiwanese. I said no. Then they spread the word to the other lorries behind that I am not taiwanese. -_-"
Then they asked us which troupe we are from. QY answered COI. Then they ask how much we charge for one show. QY said dunno. I think ban xian is good, we can sort of do advertisement for COI and Ang also.
The funny guys then ask QY for 4d number. QY dunno where find the number and give them 7238. I dunno where qy got that number lor but the people are really serious in buying this number that QY give.

This is me after the whole thing finish. My make up already melted lor. It was so hot that I all my white inner clothings all wet! And worse, I got to bia to another temple to perform after this. It was a very tiring day but it was fun too. Naiba is very cute and I like to help him also. Anyway, ban xian can earn me some pocket money.. why not? Now that I am a jobless nomad... LOL.

Do you have those mini electric hand held fan?
I really wonder how those 'fu-wa' manage to survive in those costumes, in the hot summer of beijing.

So your 扮仙 just walk outside the street, around the temple? and no need perform in stage?
Glad to know you are doing something you like, and recieve money at the same time. Yet, I truly suggest you to find a job soon, not drag long. Hope you find a periodical job soon (i mean not a very rare freelance job)
I was so super hot too and I dun have electric fan. I used those normal paper fan to fan myself. Though it was quite tough to stand all the heat but it was overall quite fun.
We didn't need to perform. All we got to do is walk around then pray in temples. We went to 5 temples and it took like 6 hours.
