Me, Myself & Opera

This show was done on 26 August and I finally acted out the show despite I only rehearsed it for a month. It was really stressful because I do forget my words sometimes and I did not think in details about how to act out some parts. Nevertheless, I did my best. So did everyone else, except Bala. Before I post the photos of my show, I am showing you guys of Miss Toh climbing out of the box during practice. LOL. I think she did this trick successfully because some people didn't realise that she has crawled out and wondered why the 2 ladies can carry that heavy box. LOL. There has been quite a bit of commotion over our box for the upcoming show. Our all-in-one skillful bala was obviously given the important task of making the Dragon Phoenix box. This box is the main role of this show so he has to make a good one. When he finished, he brought it over to COI with his 'Ferlorry'. The box originally was yellow but Ang wanted it to be in red. So Bala changed it to red. Then when the box was done, we all crowd around it to take a look and touch it. LOL Like it was some kind of exhibit. People started giving comments on the box especialy YH becaue she is the one that will be hiding in the box in this show. She was very concerned about the size that she might not fit in the box with her costume on. No worries. I think the box is big enough. I told Bala to remember to put a can of coke inside the box so that YH can drink it when she hides inside it. Hahahaha... Mad right. I think he need to put a fan in there too because YH complained it was too hot ins...

My second time to ban xian and this time I once again ban 何仙姑. I think I will only ban 何仙姑 because my godfather like my 何仙姑 very much. He told me that with me as 何仙姑 in his troupe, I can help him attract many attention. LOL. Mad lor. Attract attention to me what, not to him anyway. Maybe he thinks I am somekind of walking advertisement. I reached Beach road at about 10am. This temple belongs to Ah Sam, who is also one of the 叽童。 Anybody knows how to write the 'Ji' in chinese because I don't know so I just anyhow choose one. When I reached the temple, ah sam was still eating bee hoon. Damn hungry leh me, never eat breakfast then bia to the temple liao.... Stomach growling. Lucky got bee hoon. Then the Ah tian tian tian, qy, qian hoon etc already started to make up liao... Aiyoh.. I haven eat my bee hoon. After eating, I finally got energy to make up and put on my nice nice flower hair pieces.. Yay, I love my hair pieces. I am going to use them again for this Saturday show. A...

Today I got extra stress I went to SL to practice singing but I stil wasn't very familiar with the words and the tune. So Biyu jie told me that I got to go SL 3 times next week to practice this song. Apparently, I need to memorise TWO songs by National Day. And then Ah Tian called me. She told me to go meet up with dearest Naiba and the rest on Saturday evening to discuss matters on ban xian. Nai ba they all ban xian I agreed to help long ago and they gave me 5 verses of lines to memorise. Remember, 1 verse is 4 lines, 5 verses are 20 lines! And this has to be memorised by National Day too! Please don't forget I still got 25 verses and plenty of lines to remember for my next show Long Feng Xiang. Ang is already kind of kan cheong that we still hold the script when rehearsing. How the hell am I going to memorise ALL of that? I really don't know lor. Haiz...... Last week, I took some photos for 龙凤箱, our new show. This show is going to be staged in Auguest and so far I never blog about this because I am super stressed. This show is really hard to act. Talk about that later... Please note the photos below are not in sequence. When Hong Sheng troupe was here to perform in GCB in July, my hair pc making friend msn me and persuaded me to buy a set of hair pcs from him. He told me the set is very very nice and I should really get it and he will make another set for me at discounted rate if I get this set. Since he so nice everytime make nice hair pcs for me, I agreed. I went to Hong Sheng one night and brought home a set of hair pcs which my friend asked his sister to bring over. His sister is acting for Hong Sheng that time. This set is indeed very nice as you can see in the close up pic above. However, I got problems arranging it. Very hard to arrange. In the end, dearest ang helped me to arrange and she pricked her finger while doing so. Ke Lian...

Today when rehearsing in class, I was very stressed as usual. I chatted with Zhu Ying and Qiu yue when it is not my scene. Well, actually most scenes got me so I don't really have time to chat one. I told Qiuyue that since our dearest Zhu Ying Tai requested to act Princess in this show, I can also request for a role in the next show right? Hahaha. I want to try out a handsome Xiao sheng role leh~! I told them maybe I will request Ang to let me do the emperor role in the next show. The emperor only got 2 scenes mah. Shiok man! May Teng, please don't be too jealous of me if Ang agree to my request. I am going to borrow Tian's wig and wear Ang's nice nice emperor guan. I hope she let me wear the nice nice emperor costume also. Suddenly I realised that I didn't blog the pictures of me doing Ke Fei in June. Lol. Too happy le about my new found freedom that I forgot about it. Surprisingly, Ang told Zhuying that I did my Ke Fei well that day. Ang seldom say this sort of things to her students because she is too used to putting up her stern front. Anyway, I was happy that she thought my peformance is still ok. I think this performance is still not that stress because I only acted for 1 scene. The lines were not that many. I think the other 2 ke fei did well too. The most ke fei look alike person is QiuYue. She doesn't need to act at all! She got the Ke Fei look already by putting on the costume. My Ke Fei. I still lack the natural stern face that QY has. Please don't be mistaken by the green screens behind, I was not in a hospital. I don't know what those things are doing there.
