Taiwan Puppets

Last year when I went to Taiwan, I saw that these puppets show are really very popular over there. So popular that the 7-11s are selling trading card of puppet show!

After surfing for awhile in the net, I realised that the puppet shows really have a lot of fans and the shows are now made into drama, shown on local TV. I even found a fan club based in Japan! And the youngsters in Japan and Taiwan even used the puppets as a theme for Cosplay.

After looking at the pictures, I realised that the Taiwanese puppets resembles GZX. The costumes, the hairstyles and the make-up etc.. all looks like GZX style. I wonder if it is GZX influencing the puppets or the other way round.

Anyway, I got lots of pics to post!

First, the original puppet show:This was what the puppets used to look like.. but now...

You cant really tell which one is the guy, which one is the girl.

Now I will post up pictures of guys first:

White hair, alot of puppets have white hair or purple hair. The costume is soooo GZX.

At first glance, I thought this is a real human. hee hee.. the background influenced me! But, I like this puppet. It looks clean and neat.

Of all the puppets, this one looks most normal.
