一片桃花红
I just watched the above mentioned kunqu and really liked it a lot. It's a newly composed piece of opera for the new generation of kunqu actors. They re-designed a set of costumes for this piece and I really liked it.
This story is about a very popular character that we all know, 钟无妍. I am not familiar with the original story so I am not sure if the opera version followed closely to the traditional plot. The end of the story, Zhong Wu Yan died. I really like the way that the director designed Zhong's death. It has got impact and very touching. I dunno about you but I felt that it was touching.
This is the female lead, her name is Gu Haohao.
The male lead, Zhang Jun.
Zhang Jun is one of the few few good looking male xiao sheng I have seen. I think he really looks good in this show, he was named 'Prince of kunqu'. However, my favourite kunqu xiaosheng is still 石小梅!!
The photos I found are really beautiful. This story is quite interesting, its really worth acting, maybe should convert to ge zai xi~

Zhang Jun has a book named, I am Xiao Sheng. I noticed that there are some symbols beside the 'Xiao Sheng'. Those are musical notes known as 工尺谱. I tried learning pipa using this kind of score before but it was very difficult plus I wasn't so interested in learning pipa so I gave up. :P
Talking about a book, I have been also thinking of collecting all the nicer photos I have and compile them into a book. I can design the book myself, not much problem with that. Then I can ask my friend who works in printing company for a quote on it. I will also write some stuff about how I felt about opera and some emotions. Then I will keep this book as a form of memory. Of how crazy I was when I was this age. When I am old, I can use this book to remind myself how much opera I have done! LOL. Then I think my book should name, 我是小旦. LOL. So unoriginal liao right? Must think of a name for the cover. But for book printing if I am only to print one book, it will be super duper expensive lor. Maybe a few hundred dollars, I dunno. I am thinking if it's worth it to spend that much money and effort on a book like that.
I have seen another book done by another xiao sheng. I think the book title is very very good. It was 巾生今世. Isnt it very smart??? I like it alot. Too bad I can't do the same for dan. Dan just doesn't come in any 成语。可能你们可以建议我？
