Lady White Snake

On 09 Sep 2010 I acted Huang mei opera, Lady white snake. I didn't expect to be asked to do huangmei but there you are. Some things just come unexpectedly. I tot that since I am doing green snake, it should be fine because white snake is the female lead in the show. Turns out that the part that we are acting, the white snake doesn't do anything. Green snake is the one that is doing all the talking. So ended up I have to memorise a lot of things.

Lin jia provided me with the green snake costume because I don't have one.

So here I am, wearing a very traditional costum and using my taiwan wig.

Cute or not? LOL, I was wear the 'hundred folds' skirt which I really hated because it will make me look very fat! But no choice, I don't have a green costume or any green skirt to go with this costume.

XueYan, she was acting yueju with Maria that night. I think she makes a very good sheng. Her hard work paid off! She worked very hard for it and she got what she wanted I think.

This is white snake. I did her make up and lent her my hair pieces that day. No choice because if I don't help her and lend her the things, she will look very traditional and I will look very GZX. That will be super duper weird lor.

This is Junbi, he was acting as the Earth god that day. Kana bullied by me in the show. I pulled his beard. lol.

Here is a video of my green snake that night. I think I didn't do too bad given that I went for only 3 rehearsals! Fortunately it's only 15 minutes so it didn't take too much trouble to memorise.
